Job Summary
As a Data Center Technician at partimus GmbH, you will be responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of a TIER 3 and ISO/27001 certified data center in Limburg an der Lahn. Your daily activities will include performing 'Rack & Stack' duties, such as installing and cabling server and network hardware, conducting facility walkthroughs, and maintaining structured documentation within NetBox. You will also execute installation scripts, configure IPMI interfaces, and support customers on-site. This role is ideal for hands-on professionals who enjoy a mix of hardware interaction and infrastructure management. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in IT or electrical engineering (e.g., IT Systems Electronician, Electronics Technician for Information and Systems Technology, or IT Specialist for System Integration) or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in handling server and network hardware
- Practical experience in IT or electrical engineering environments
- Experience in structured cabling and data center maintenance
- Experience with on-call duty rotations
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required. Must be physically capable of performing typical data center tasks. Participation in on-call duty approximately every 6 weeks. Fixed workplace in Limburg an der Lahn with occasional travel for new site setups.
