Job Summary
As an IT Systems Electronic Technician / Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the seamless operation and maintenance of a TIER 3 and ISO 27001 certified data center in Limburg an der Lahn. Your daily activities include the physical installation and cabling of server and network hardware (Rack & Stack), conducting facility walkthroughs to ensure operational integrity, and documenting infrastructure within NetBox. You will also execute installation scripts, configure IPMI interfaces, and provide on-site support for visiting clients. This role is ideal for proactive professionals who enjoy hands-on technical work and want to contribute to a growing IT group. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in the IT or electrical field (e.g., IT Systems Electronic Technician, Electronics Technician for Information and Systems Technology, or IT Specialist for System Integration) or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- Professional experience handling server and network hardware
- Experience in data center maintenance and operational monitoring
- Practical experience in structured cabling and hardware documentation
- Background in autonomous task execution and hands-on technical troubleshooting
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required. Must be physically capable of performing typical data center activities. Participation in on-call rotation (approximately every 6 weeks) is required. Fixed workplace location in Limburg an der Lahn with occasional travel for new site setups.
