Job Summary
As an IT Security Manager at Mainzer Stadtwerke AG, you will play a pivotal role in securing the critical infrastructure of the Mainz region. Your daily responsibilities involve managing and advancing the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001 standards. You will conduct comprehensive IT risk assessments, advise various departments on security measures, and ensure compliance with KRITIS (Critical Infrastructure) and NIS2 requirements. The role requires close collaboration with IT and business units to develop security processes and lead internal and external audits. This position is particularly attractive due to its high level of responsibility in a stable, public-utility environment, offering a competitive salary under the TV-V collective agreement (60,000 - 90,000 €) and an extensive benefits package including flexible mobile working, childcare support, and employer-funded pensions.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of information security
- Experience working within a KRITIS (Critical Infrastructure) environment is highly preferred
- Proven experience with ISO/IEC 27001 implementation and maintenance
- Experience in conducting and documenting risk analyses and deriving mitigation measures

- Willingness to obtain relevant ISMS certifications if not already held. The role is based in Mainz with a permanent, full-time contract.
