Job Summary
As a Grid Connection Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping future energy infrastructure by overseeing the technical execution of grid connections for large-scale PV power plants and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Your day-to-day responsibilities include the electrical planning of connections, coordinating with internal departments and external grid operators, and providing technical support during the construction and commissioning of high-voltage substations. You will ensure compliance with technical connection conditions and normative requirements like VDE-AR-N 4110/4120/4130. This position is ideal for a collaborative professional who enjoys combining technical calculations with project management in an international environment. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, state-certified technician qualification in Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable position within electrical engineering or grid connection
- Extensive technical knowledge in electrical power engineering and relevant VDE grid connection standards
- Practical experience in the commissioning of PV power plants or battery storage systems is preferred
- Experience in coordinating with energy suppliers, external partners, and internal specialist departments
