Job Summary
This role involves operating a specialized lithium electrolysis demonstration plant (CLEOP) in Frankfurt/Höchst. As a Chemical Technician, you will be responsible for the final stage of a CO2-neutral lithium extraction process, converting lithium chloride into battery-grade lithium monohydrate hydroxide. Your daily tasks include operating equipment according to set parameters, following strict safety protocols, and collecting process samples of liquids and solids. You will also manage the supply of reagents, package final products, and perform level-1 preventive maintenance. This position is ideal for professionals interested in innovative green technology and sustainable energy. The role operates on a full-time, permanent basis within an 8-hour shift system. Required Skills
Education
Background in Chemistry or a related technical field (e.g., Chemical Technician/Chemikant qualification).
Experience
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in the operation of industrial plants, preferably within the chemical industry
- Professional experience in chemical processing or a similar technical field
- Proven experience following safety procedures in a chemical industrial environment
- Experience working in a shift-based environment
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to work in an 8-hour shift system is required. Valid forklift license is preferred but not mandatory. Location is based at the Infraserv Industrial Park in Frankfurt/Höchst.
