Job Summary

As a Shift Supervisor for the Lithium Extraction Optimization Plant (LEOP) in Landau, you will lead a dedicated team in continuous shift operations. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the chemical pilot plant in accordance with operating permits and strict HSE standards. You will act as a critical link between operations and engineering, collaborating closely with process engineers to execute research campaigns and generate vital process data. Day-to-day, you will coordinate maintenance activities, issue work permits, and troubleshoot technical disturbances. Beyond technical oversight, you will focus on team development through coaching and training while contributing to the continuous improvement of the Vulcan Management System. This role is unique as it places you at the forefront of carbon-neutral lithium extraction technology, supporting the transition to sustainable mobility with a pioneering company in the geothermal energy sector.

Required Skills

Education

Certified Industrial Foreman (Industriemeister) specializing in Chemistry, or currently undergoing such training, or a comparable technical qualification.

Experience

  • Leadership experience as a Shift Supervisor or Deputy Shift Supervisor in an industrial environment
  • Extensive professional experience in chemical or technical plant operations
  • Experience in implementing HSE standards and coordinating maintenance work permits
  • Proven track record in team management and task distribution within a shift system
