Job Summary

This role involves joining the IT Service Center of the Saarland State Administration within the 'IT Security, CERT Saarland' department. As an IT Security Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day protection against sabotage, coordinating Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, and analyzing cyberattacks on the state's IT infrastructure. You will identify vulnerabilities, coordinate risk-mitigating measures, and develop security concepts based on BSI IT-Grundschutz standards. The position is ideal for professionals who enjoy a mix of technical analysis and strategic process development. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or Cybersecurity. Alternatively, a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) combined with several years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT security, CERT, or SOC environments
  • Experience in the analysis and evaluation of IT vulnerabilities and security warnings
  • Proven experience in the secure operation of IT infrastructures and software
  • Experience in handling structured data for security analysis
  • Several years of relevant professional experience required for applicants with vocational training instead of a degree

Additional

  • Must be willing to undergo an extended security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung). Role is based in Saarland, Germany. Permanent contract under the TV-L public service collective agreement.
