Job Summary

As a Technology Manager for ÖBB Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the economic and technological planning and further development of mission-critical information systems. Your primary focus will be on passenger information systems, specifically automated acoustic announcement systems at train stations. You will act as a vital link between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, managing the entire lifecycle from technical tender creation and procurement to testing and final acceptance. Day-to-day, you will design software and hardware architectures, manage release processes, and develop technology roadmaps. This role is unique because it combines high-level technology strategy with hands-on project management in a large-scale mobility environment, ensuring reliable real-time information for millions of passengers while shaping the future of rail infrastructure technology in Vienna.

Required Skills

Education

Technical university degree (Bachelor/Master) in a relevant field or equivalent technical qualification (e.g., HTL graduate with a focus on acoustics or electronics).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the IT, mobility, or railway sector
