Job Summary

As an Electrical Engineer for Data Center Systems, you will play a critical role in supporting regional engineering teams across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Your daily responsibilities involve overseeing the construction, commissioning, and operation of electrical infrastructures, ensuring high availability and operational reliability. You will be responsible for technical reporting, identifying efficiency improvements, and approving high-risk technical changes. A key part of the role includes conducting root cause analyses for incidents and leading scenario-based training for site teams. This position is unique for its blend of high-level technical oversight and hands-on project management within the critical infrastructure of global data centers. You will act as a subject matter expert for high-voltage switching operations while collaborating with multinational teams to implement global technical standards. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, flexible working models, and the chance to shape the digital infrastructure of the future.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; qualified as a Subject Matter Expert/Responsible Electrical Engineer (Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in an electrical or critical mechanical environment within a large enterprise
  • Professional experience in the IT, telecommunications, or energy sectors
  • Practical experience in performing high-voltage switching operations
  • Proven experience as a subject matter expert or responsible electrical engineer
  • Experience in a data center environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in technical management and cross-functional collaboration
