Job Summary
This role involves the technical leadership of a shift within the Schleswig-Holstein Traffic Information Center, one of the state's most modern control centers. You will be responsible for the remote monitoring and control of critical infrastructure, including road tunnels, traffic management systems, and bridges. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating data, coordinating with service providers and road maintenance depots, and handling traffic disruption reports. Additionally, you will assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of networked computer and communication systems, including hardware and software updates. This position is unique for its direct impact on regional infrastructure safety and offers the stability of public service employment. The role operates on a rotating shift schedule and is based in Neumünster/Krogaspe, with a planned move to Westerrönfeld in the medium term.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training, preferably as a State-Certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker).
Experience
- Professional experience as an operator or in first-level support, ideally within a control center or tunnel monitoring environment
- Technical experience in the maintenance and monitoring of networked computer and communication systems
- Experience in coordinating external service providers and maintenance teams
- Proven experience in technical leadership or shift supervision is highly desirable
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required; willingness to perform rotating shift work (Wechselschichtdienst); readiness to drive service vehicles; position is subject to a location change to Westerrönfeld in the medium term.
