Job Summary
This full-time role at the Central Animal Facility of the Faculty of Medicine involves the breeding, housing, and comprehensive care of rodents in a research environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining specialized housing systems, conducting daily health checks, and implementing strict hygiene management protocols such as cleaning, disinfection, and sentinel programs. You will be responsible for both paper-based and electronic documentation, ensuring all animal data is accurately recorded in databases. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Biology Laboratory Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Animal Caretaker (specializing in Research and Clinic or Home and Pension Animal Care).
Experience
- Professional experience in the breeding, housing, and care of rodents
- Experience working with genetically modified animals in S1 and S2 biosafety levels is preferred
- Practical experience with Individually Ventilated Cages (IVC) systems is desirable
- Experience in maintaining research facility documentation and electronic databases
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
