Job Summary

As an IT Project Coordinator at the University of Potsdam, you will spearhead the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies across academic and administrative sectors. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve coordinating the overall project lifecycle, from defining milestones and managing stakeholders to the technical conception and pilot implementation of AI scenarios. You will conduct empirical requirement analyses to identify needs in teaching and administration, and design hands-on workshops to educate staff on the possibilities and ethical boundaries of AI. This role is unique for its blend of technical implementation and didactic consulting, allowing you to shape how a major university adopts cutting-edge tools like Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning. The position offers a 3-year fixed-term contract with a focus on work-life balance, including 30 days of vacation and mobile work options, within a supportive academic environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Social Sciences, Educational Science, or a comparable relevant field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in project organization and coordination within an IT or academic context
  • Experience in the technical conception and evaluation of pilot scenarios for technology implementation
  • Experience in designing and conducting workshops or training sessions for diverse user groups
  • Experience in identifying technical requirements for software or AI-supported processes
  • Previous participation in university research projects (e.g., DFG, BMBF) is preferred
