Job Summary

The Federal Foreign Office is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead and manage cyber defense operations within Germany's global diplomatic network. Based in Berlin, you will be responsible for overseeing the Security Operation Center (SOC) and Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), driving the strategic development of cybersecurity automation, and managing complex IT projects. This role involves high-level coordination with federal authorities and the management of international security incidents. As the Deputy Head of the division, you will also handle organizational leadership and personnel management. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Technology, Communications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience following the completion of university studies
  • Several years of proven experience in IT project management
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing information security standards (e.g., ISO 27001 or IT-Grundschutz)
  • Experience in personnel leadership and organizational management
  • Professional experience in cyber defense and incident handling
