Job Summary

This Research Associate position at the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences involves contributing to two significant research projects: NaWaP and Pro3HSKL. You will spend 50% of your time conducting independent research, planning experiments, and performing biotechnological work under anaerobic conditions, specifically focusing on anaerobic fungi and hydrogen production. The remaining 30% of your role centers on academic support, where you will supervise student laboratory internships, grade protocols, and mentor students during their Bachelor's and Master's theses. This role is ideal for a scientist who enjoys both hands-on laboratory work—utilizing advanced analytical tools like HPLC and Micro-GC—and the pedagogical aspect of higher education. Based at the Pirmasens campus, the position offers a flexible working environment and the opportunity to work within a public service framework (TV-L E13), making it an attractive choice for professionals seeking academic stability and research autonomy.
