Job Summary

As a Material Development Engineer at Heliatek, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the world's first truly green solar technology. Based in Dresden, you will be responsible for selecting, developing, and qualifying critical components, adhesives, and film systems for transition into the roll-to-roll production of flexible solar modules. Your daily work involves close collaboration with project teams to improve existing materials, providing technical support to process engineers on the production line, and advising the purchasing department during technical discussions with suppliers and development partners. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys analyzing processing methods and refining technical regulations. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification with a focus on Chemistry.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the selection, development, and qualification of industrial components and materials
  • Experience in plastics technology, polymers, or adhesive systems
  • Prior experience in the photovoltaic industry is highly preferred
  • Experience in data analysis using tools such as JMP or SQL
  • Proven track record in process analysis and improvement within a production environment
