Job Summary

As a Nature Conservation and Landscape Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in protecting and managing the natural environment within the Düren district. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting technical and legal assessments, issuing permits and exemptions, and drafting expert statements on conservation issues. You will also manage 'eco-accounts' and compensation area registries, ensuring that development projects offset their environmental impact correctly. Beyond administrative tasks, you will be involved in public relations and the practical monitoring of funding applications and development measures. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys a mix of office-based legal/technical work and field-related oversight. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma or Bachelor's) in a relevant field such as Biology, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Ecology, Land Management, Nature Conservation, or Ecology. Foreign degrees require ZAB evaluation.

Experience

  • Professional experience in conducting technical and legal reviews within nature conservation and landscape management
  • Experience in drafting technical statements and expert contributions for environmental matters
  • Experience in administrative procedures such as issuing permits, exemptions, and managing land registries
  • Experience in public relations and stakeholder communication
  • Experience working with geographic information systems (GIS) is preferred
