Biochemist (PhD Candidate) | Biochemiker (m/w/d)
Technische Universität München - TUM
Job Summary
This PhD position at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) offers a unique opportunity to conduct advanced research in Cellular Protein Biochemistry. The successful candidate will investigate the molecular mechanisms of endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein chaperones and their role in protein biogenesis and quality control. Day-to-day responsibilities involve utilizing state-of-the-art cell biological approaches to analyze how membrane proteins are processed and recognized by cellular machinery. This role is particularly attractive for researchers interested in the secretory pathway and its implications for human disease and drug targeting. Working within one of Europe's leading research universities, the researcher will benefit from an international environment and high-impact publication opportunities. The project bridges the gap between basic protein biochemistry and complex cell biology, focusing on the human proteome's critical membrane proteins.
