Job Summary
This role involves overseeing the day-to-day facility management operations for the Senate Department for Health, Care, and Justice in Berlin. As a Senior Coordinator, you will manage decentralized building maintenance, room allocations, and procurement processes while ensuring legal and financial compliance through contract and invoice management. A unique aspect of this position is the dual responsibility of serving as the Fire Protection Officer and acting as the Deputy Group Lead, where you will assist in personnel management and strategic space planning. You will play a key role in the department's transition to modern, digital working environments, including the implementation of desk-sharing. This position offers a high degree of responsibility within a professional, collegial team dedicated to public service, featuring flexible working hours and the opportunity for home office in a central Berlin location.
Required Skills
Education
Completion of career requirements for General Administrative Service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsamt) or equivalent administrative degree.
Experience
- Professional experience in facility management and building maintenance operations
- Experience in coordinating and executing public procurement processes
- Experience in contract administration and financial invoice management
- Leadership experience required to serve as Deputy Group Lead
- Experience in fire safety management and emergency coordination
- Experience in administrative budget and resource planning
Languages
Additional
- Must currently be a permanent civil servant (Beamter) of the State of Berlin. Requires readiness for on-call duty and work during irregular hours in case of building emergencies or damage. Location: Berlin (Mitte/Kreuzberg).
