Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to participate in a large-scale digital transformation project within the healthcare sector. As part of the GFO Verbund's DiMIT department, you will support a comprehensive IT rollout involving the replacement of over 1,000 client devices across various clinical locations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will center on the physical exchange of hardware, including the setup, connection, and commissioning of new workstations, as well as the decommissioning and documentation of legacy equipment. You will act as a direct point of contact for users on-site, ensuring that peripheral devices and network connections are functioning correctly. This position is ideal for students seeking hands-on technical experience in a professional environment, offering a deep dive into IT-supported workflows in a medical context. The role is initially limited to a two-month period starting in May, requiring 15-20 hours per week at the Brühl clinic location and surrounding sites.

Required Skills

Education

Enrolled student, ideally in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related technical degree program.

Experience

  • Professional experience or academic background in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a technical field of study
  • Basic technical understanding of computer workstations and hardware components
  • Experience in independent and reliable task execution within a team environment
  • Experience in user-facing communication and providing friendly technical assistance

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license and willingness to travel between deployment sites are required. Must be available for a fixed-term contract of approximately two months starting in May.
