Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to participate in a large-scale digital transformation project within the healthcare sector. As a Working Student for the GFO DiMIT team, you will be a key player in a major IT rollout across clinic locations in Mettmann-Süd. Your primary responsibility involves a comprehensive hardware refresh, replacing over 1,000 client devices with modern models. This includes the physical setup, cabling, and commissioning of workstations, as well as documenting the process and performing basic functional tests. You will work closely with the experienced OnSite Support team, gaining practical insights into how IT infrastructure supports critical healthcare processes. This position is ideal for students looking for hands-on technical experience in a professional environment, requiring a mix of technical aptitude, organizational skills, and a friendly, service-oriented approach to supporting end-users during the transition.

Required Skills

Education

Currently enrolled student, ideally in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a technical field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience or basic knowledge in setting up computer workstations and peripherals
  • Experience in technical documentation and organizational tasks
  • Experience in customer-facing or user-support environments
  • Experience working effectively within a team structure

Languages

German (Intermediate)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license and willingness to travel between deployment sites is mandatory. Position is limited to a duration of approximately two months starting in May.
