Job Summary
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in the digital transformation of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) by managing and modernizing one of Germany's most complex IT infrastructures. Your daily responsibilities include integrating high-performance solutions into a private cloud environment, orchestrating automated DevOps processes, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for the PRADA web service. You will work within a microservice architecture to ensure high availability and scalability of critical application components. This role is ideal for a technical expert who wants to contribute to national security while working with modern container technologies. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a comparable qualification in the IT environment.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience following degree completion
- Extensive experience in container orchestration and management
- Proven track record in implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
- Professional experience in Linux system administration and automation
- Experience in agile software development environments
Languages
Additional
- Must be able to work nationwide at BWI locations (e.g., Berlin, Bonn, Munich, Hamburg). Business-fluent German is mandatory.
