Job Summary

As a Senior System Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the digital future of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) by managing one of Germany's largest and most complex IT infrastructures. Your primary focus will be the SLA-compliant, fault-free operation and administration of the Microsoft email messaging platform, specifically supporting Outlook and Exchange environments for major institutional clients. Day-to-day, you will handle incident analysis, troubleshooting, and patch management while maintaining technical documentation and overseeing web-based self-service tools. You will lead a virtual operations team and act as a key interface to service management, ensuring seamless communication and efficient IT service delivery. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in the IT field or comparable professional experience.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in large-scale corporate IT structures
  • Professional experience in the operation and administration of Microsoft Exchange and Outlook environments
  • Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell and DSC
  • Experience in leading virtual operations teams and managing service management interfaces
  • Professional experience within the BWI environment is preferred but not mandatory
