Job Summary

Join the Antigen Design & Protein Expression Technologies team at Roche Diagnostics as an R&D Engineer focused on Downstream Processing (DSP). In this role, you will be responsible for the independent development of manufacturing processes for recombinant proteins and Virus-Like Particles (VLPs), scaling from laboratory levels to production handover. Your daily activities will involve utilizing a broad spectrum of chromatography methods such as Affinity, IEX, and SEC, alongside advanced biophysical analysis tools like SEC-MALS and RP-HPLC. You will also manage protein quantification and characterization using SDS-PAGE and Western Blotting. This position is ideal for a proactive scientist who enjoys solving complex biochemical challenges within a collaborative, global environment.
