Job Summary

As the Head of the Materials Department within Large Gas Turbine Engineering, you will lead a specialized team of approximately 30 materials engineers across two groups. Your daily responsibilities involve coordinating all material-related engineering topics, including material development, design data management, failure analysis, and testing. You will play a pivotal role in supporting manufacturing and fleet operations for large gas and steam turbines, as well as decarbonization products. A key aspect of this leadership position is shaping material development roadmaps and steering central R&D projects from concept to application. You will ensure technical governance and quality assurance while collaborating closely with internal partners in design, supply chain, and manufacturing, as well as external research teams and laboratories.
