Job Summary

This role offers the opportunity to actively shape the energy transition by joining a nationwide team focused on sustainable energy solutions. As a PLC Technician, you will be responsible for the planning, programming, and implementation of automation projects for energy systems, including battery storage, photovoltaic plants, and combined heat and power units. Your day-to-day work involves using WAGO PLC systems to program and commission energy management systems, conducting remote troubleshooting and analysis, and creating visualization solutions. You will play a critical role in integrating energy data into central systems and implementing various communication interfaces. This position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy collaborative environments, working closely with electrical planners and designers to deliver climate-friendly technology. The role is attractive due to its high level of flexibility with over 100 individual working time models, hybrid work options, and a permanent contract in a future-proof industry.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering or Electronics, ideally with further qualification as a Technician or Master Craftsman; or a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Information Technology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in PLC programming using CodeSys V3.5 or Siemens S7
  • Practical experience in the field of energy technology and energy management systems
  • Experience in the planning and implementation of automation projects for renewable energy assets (PV, Battery Storage, BHKW)
  • Proven experience in implementing communication protocols and interfaces
