Job Summary

As a Technical Laboratory Assistant in the Immunoproteomics department at HI-TRON Mainz, you will play a vital role in identifying cancer-specific immune peptides to advance immunotherapy research. Your day-to-day responsibilities include routine sample preparation using techniques like protein extraction and immunoprecipitation, as well as the operation and maintenance of high-end LC-MS instruments and liquid-handling robots. You will also contribute to method development and the automation of sample preparation for single-cell proteomics. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a cutting-edge, international research environment. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant (e.g., CTA, BTA) or a degree in Biochemistry, (Bio)analytical Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in mass spectrometry
  • Experience in automation of sample preparation specifically within proteomics or immunopeptidomics
  • Professional experience in biochemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, or biology
  • Experience in structured laboratory documentation and material inventory management
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary and international teams
