Job Summary
This role is part of the 'Learning in the Makerspace' (LiMa) project at the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf (HSD). As a Research Associate within the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, you will be responsible for advising and supporting faculty in designing innovative teaching formats. You will guide students through independent projects and theses, providing essential safety training and technical instruction. The position involves managing the equipment and operations of the department's makerspace, developing usage concepts, and drafting safety guidelines. Beyond daily operations, you will participate in transfer activities, network at specialist conferences, and contribute to the interdisciplinary development of teaching-learning concepts focused on sustainability and digitalization. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or University Diploma in an engineering discipline
Experience
- Professional experience or proven knowledge in information technology, computer science, or electrical engineering
- Experience in Maker Education is preferred
- Experience in didactic settings such as Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Service Learning, or Inquiry-based Learning is advantageous
- Initial experience in teaching or instructional support at a university level is desirable
- Initial experience in project management
