Job Summary
As an IT Support and Media Technology Specialist at Hochschule Düsseldorf (HSD), you will be responsible for the operation and development of the campus media technology infrastructure. Your daily tasks include the installation and commissioning of complex, distributed media systems such as lecture hall and conference room solutions, interface management with IT systems, and comprehensive documentation. You will also monitor operations, manage faults and capacity, and provide both remote and on-site support to users. This role is ideal for those who enjoy a mix of technical hands-on work and strategic trend-scouting in media technology. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Event Technology Specialist (Fachkraft für Veranstaltungstechnik) or IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration); alternatively, a relevant university degree combined with professional experience in both IT and media technology.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT or media technology required
- Experience in the assembly and commissioning of complex distributed media systems
- Experience in interface management and protocol development
- Experience in user support and technical troubleshooting
- Experience in contract management and trend scouting for media technology
Languages
Additional
- The role requires German language skills at C1 level and English at B1 level. The position is permanent and based at the Düsseldorf campus.
