Job Summary
As a Team Coordinator for IT Operations at the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM) in Cologne, you will lead the technical coordination of a specialized team responsible for the smooth operation of IT systems. Your daily responsibilities include conducting quality and work controls, providing technical guidance to team members, and leading team meetings. You will play a pivotal role in planning, implementing, and supporting complex central IT procedures, including the coordination of an interdisciplinary software development team. The role involves managing technical projects, creating requirement specifications, conducting operational tests, and handling 2nd-level support for troubleshooting. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract status, the opportunity for mobile work up to three days a week, and the chance to contribute to the digitalization of German federal infrastructure within a family-friendly and supportive environment.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Automation, IT Management, Business Informatics, or equivalent; or eligibility for the higher federal non-technical or technical administrative service.
Experience
- Professional experience in the operation of applications within Linux and Microsoft-based server environments
- Professional experience in technical project management using methodologies like V-Model-XT or MS Project
- Professional experience in team coordination, quality control, and providing technical guidance
- Professional experience with database management and SQL from an application perspective
- Professional experience in software distribution and monitoring systems
- Experience in 2nd-level support and troubleshooting for IT procedures
