Job Summary
This role involves working within the 'Food' department at the Wiesbaden location, specifically focusing on beverages and consumer goods. As a Chemical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for analyzing a wide range of products including mineral water, juices, alcoholic beverages, cosmetics, and textiles. Your day-to-day tasks involve utilizing both classical chemical-physical methods and modern instrumental analysis to detect ingredients, additives, and prohibited substances. Additionally, you will handle data processing via LIMS, participate in quality assurance measures such as method validation, and assist in training junior laboratory staff. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to consumer protection within a state-certified family-friendly public service environment. The role is initially fixed-term until May 2027 and provides the stability of the Hessian public service collective agreement (TV-H), including benefits like a free regional transit ticket.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant) or an equivalent professional qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or in a comparable vocational field
- Practical experience in modern analytical procedures
- Experience in classical and instrumental analysis of food and consumer goods is desirable
- Experience in analytical quality assurance is preferred
- Experience in data processing and documentation using specialized laboratory software
