This leadership role involves overseeing the Civil Engineering Department for the City of Stadtlohn, managing a team of five employees plus associated field offices. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of urban infrastructure projects, including traffic planning, the development of local mobility concepts, and road network expansions for commercial areas. A significant focus of the position is the conceptual development of parks, green spaces, and sports facilities, ensuring these projects are adapted to climate change impacts. You will also represent the department in political committees and collaborate across various municipal sectors. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diploma, Master, or Bachelor of Engineering) in Civil Engineering with a focus on Civil Engineering, Landscape Construction, Traffic Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in civil engineering, traffic planning, or landscape architecture
- Experience in managing technical departments or leading teams
- Experience with public sector procurement and construction regulations (VOB, HOAI)
- Proven track record in planning and steering traffic and road construction projects
- Experience in collaborating with political committees and cross-functional teams
