Job Summary
As an Application Engineer at Beckhoff Automation, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining specialized technology software for plastics processing machinery and hydraulic drive systems. Your daily responsibilities will involve utilizing motion control software for both electric and hydraulic drives, creating simulations for temperature control, and refining HTML5-based user interfaces. Beyond development, you will provide essential customer support through remote service and occasional on-site commissioning. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in application development for plastics machinery or hydraulic drive technology is highly desirable
- Proven experience in PLC programming according to IEC 61131-3 standards
- Advanced experience in the fields of control engineering, hydraulics, and motion control
- Experience in commissioning and providing technical customer support
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel for occasional global on-site assignments (approximately 10–20%). Valid work permit for Germany is required for this permanent position.
