Job Summary

This role at the Institute of Clinical Molecular Biology (IKMB) involves supporting the Microbiome Platform in a high-tech clinical research environment. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for the professional handling and storage of biological samples such as stool, swabs, and biopsies according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will perform semi-automated and manual nucleic acid isolation, conduct complex gene analyses using PCR and qPCR, and prepare libraries for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS). A key part of the role includes maintaining extraction and pipetting robots and documenting processes in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
