Job Summary

This role involves managing the administrative and organizational operations of the DFG-funded research group FOR 5930, focused on regulatory autoantibodies and vascular diseases. As a Scientific Coordinator, you will act as a vital interface between researchers, administration, and external partners. Your day-to-day responsibilities include organizing scientific workshops and events, managing third-party funding budgets, and overseeing public relations and online presence. The position offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to shape the communication strategy of an international research team. Based at the Clinic for Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, this part-time (25 hours/week) position is ideal for a professional with a background in life sciences who enjoys a mix of administrative management and scientific engagement in a prestigious academic environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, ideally in natural sciences or life sciences.

Experience

  • Professional experience in science management or project management is preferred
  • Experience in the coordination and organization of scientific activities and events
  • Experience in administrative handling of third-party funded projects and budget monitoring
  • Experience in public relations, press work, or managing online presence
  • Proven experience in a collaborative interface role between scientists and administration
