Job Summary

This role at the Bavarian State Office for Statistics involves serving as a strategic link within the 'IT Coordination' department. You will be responsible for supporting interdisciplinary IT committees at both state and federal levels, leading ad-hoc working groups to develop technical concepts, and briefing executive management. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating internal IT projects focused on digitalization and process optimization, managing external resources, and overseeing procurement processes. A unique aspect of this position is the focus on innovation; you will evaluate and test emerging technologies, such as Cloud and Data Science methods, and maintain relationships with research institutions to facilitate technology transfers. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's/Diploma/Magister) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Experience in digitalization, process optimization, or procurement projects
  • Experience in evaluating innovative technologies and scientific technology transfer
