This role at the TU Dresden Faculty of Computer Science involves the technical management and support of a cutting-edge robotics laboratory focused on Machine Learning. Day-to-day, the successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, network components, and specialized robotic hardware such as x-arm 7 and h1 models. Beyond traditional IT administration, the position requires hands-on involvement in experimental setups, including the integration of event-based cameras and tactile sensors. You will collaborate closely with scientific staff to develop software tools and infrastructure using ROS, Python, and C++ to streamline robotics experiments. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or a similar degree in the field of Information Technology with equivalent knowledge.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience as an IT specialist for system integration or in a similar information technology role
  • Professional experience in the control and management of robotic arms and end-effectors
  • Practical experience with hardware-level debugging and diagnostic tools
  • Experience in developing software interfaces and tools for experimental infrastructures
