Job Summary
As an Automation Engineer or PLC Programmer in the maritime sector, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sophisticated automation solutions for complex technical systems. Your daily activities include analyzing technical requirements, programming and optimizing PLC controllers (specifically Siemens TIA Portal or Beckhoff), and integrating essential components such as sensors, drive technology, and industrial bus systems like Profinet and EtherCAT. You will play a vital role in the commissioning and integration phases of maritime plants while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams in software, mechanics, and systems engineering. Required Skills
Education
Degree or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable field (Technicians or Electronics Technicians with relevant experience are also welcome).
Experience
- Initial professional experience or strong interest in PLC programming (Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Beckhoff, or Codesys)
- Experience in automation technology or plant engineering
- Experience in commissioning, control cabinet construction, or electrical design
- Professional experience with industrial communication protocols such as Profinet or EtherCAT
