Job Summary

As a Hardware Engineer within the Missile Warning Engineering department at HENSOLDT, you will play a critical role in the development of electro-optical systems designed to detect guided missiles. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the entire product lifecycle, from initial subsystem analysis and hardware concept design to specification, integration, and testing of digital modules. You will analyze existing digital circuits, manage obsolescence through redesigns, and oversee external development partners. This role is highly interdisciplinary, requiring close collaboration within a system engineering team to ensure the reliability of high-tech defense electronics. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the specification, design, and development of hardware modules and equipment
  • Practical experience in hardware integration with a focus on EMC/EMV requirements
  • Hands-on experience using laboratory measurement tools such as oscilloscopes and signal generators
  • Experience in hardware configuration, version control, and change management processes
  • Experience working with aviation-specific standards is preferred
