As a PostgreSQL Administrator, you will perform pioneering work in the introduction and commissioning of a highly available PostgreSQL database environment (utilizing Patroni) across multiple data centers. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve conceptualizing the rollout of new databases and plugins, as well as programming automation scripts using Ansible and GitLab for tasks like installation and housekeeping. You will independently manage proof-of-concepts for new versions and perform regular patching of database products. This role is based in Berlin within the Database Transition team of the German Federal Pension Insurance (DRV) data center.
