Job Summary
This role is based at the Agricultural Technology Center Augustenberg (LTZ) in Karlsruhe-Durlach within the Inorganic Analytics department. As a Chemical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of agricultural samples, specifically focusing on animal feed parameters using the Weender analysis and van Soest fiber fractions. Day-to-day tasks include performing digestion processes with mineral acids and determining element contents using advanced atomic spectrometry methods such as AAS, ICP-OES, and ICP-MS. You will also be heavily involved in documenting results and maintaining quality management standards according to DIN EN ISO 17025. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who enjoy routine laboratory work combined with complex analytical challenges. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant), Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in inorganic analytics and agricultural sample preparation
- Experience with atomic spectrometric methods (AAS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS)
- Experience in documenting laboratory results and working within ISO 17025 quality standards
- Proven experience in handling mineral acids and complex digestion processes
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is preferred
