Job Summary

The Agricultural Technology Center Augustenberg (LTZ) is seeking a Chemical Laboratory Technician or Chemical Technical Assistant to support the 'ExpAKlim' project, which focuses on agricultural adaptation to climate change. In this full-time role, based in Karlsruhe-Durlach, you will perform essential laboratory analysis on plant, root, and soil samples to determine nitrogen content and moisture levels. Key responsibilities include preparing samples, conducting Continuous-Flow Analysis (CFA) and combustion analysis, and documenting results within a DIN EN ISO 17025 quality management framework. You will also participate in agricultural field trials and collaborate with research partners. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who values scientific research and knowledge transfer. The role requires a completed vocational qualification in chemistry, proficiency in MS Office, and a high level of reliability. This is a fixed-term position until February 2029, offering a collaborative environment, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to contribute to impactful climate resilience research.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant) or Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in chemical laboratory analysis
  • Experience in sample preparation and analytical testing
  • Experience with laboratory quality management systems
  • Experience with LIMS software is considered an advantage
