Job Summary
This full-time postdoctoral position at the University of Tübingen involves developing and testing cross-species metrics of genetic diversity. The successful candidate will work with a unique large-scale dataset encompassing plant genetic diversity in grasslands and forests, utilizing both empirical and simulated genetic data. As part of the DFG-funded 'BEGenDiv' project, you will collaborate with researchers from the Universities of Freiburg and Marburg and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research. The role offers a vibrant research environment within an internationally recognized network, including links to the GreenRobust and TERRA Clusters of Excellence. Required Skills
Education
PhD in Population Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Ecology, Biodiversity Informatics, or a related field
Experience
- Professional experience in population genetics, genomics, or molecular ecology
- Demonstrated experience in large-scale data analysis is essential
- Experience in population genetic simulations or data synthesis is advantageous
- Background in biodiversity informatics or a related field
- Proven track record of conducting scientific research at the postdoctoral level
