Job Summary

This role at Roche Diagnostics in Mannheim involves serving as a mathematical expert within an interdisciplinary team of software developers, chemical engineers, and regulatory specialists. You will be responsible for developing robust mathematical models to determine physiological parameters from chemical-physical time-series data for Near Patient Care systems. Day-to-day, you will provide statistical consulting, design experiments (DoE), and create automated R&D tools. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field. A PhD (Doctorate) is preferred or equivalent long-term professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in interdisciplinary teams, preferably within medical technology research or development
  • Extensive experience in statistical consulting and supporting colleagues from non-mathematical departments
  • Proven experience in programming with R and/or Python
  • Experience with version control systems like Git
  • Professional experience in developing mathematical models for time-series data and physiological parameters
