Job Summary

As an R&D Scientist at Roche Penzberg, you will be responsible for the development, optimization, and routine execution of analytical methods to characterize plasmids and viral vector-based gene therapies. Your daily work involves utilizing advanced techniques such as qPCR, d(d)PCR, LC, CE, and cell-based assays within both nGMP and GMP environments. You will independently design experiments, interpret complex results, and manage technical documentation. Beyond laboratory work, you will contribute to equipment maintenance, calibration, and literature research. Required Skills

Education

Master of Science (MSc.) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field

Experience

  • Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge in biochemical and biophysical analytical methods
  • In-depth professional experience with analytical methods for protein and virus analysis
  • Practical experience in molecular biology methods and gene therapy
  • Prior experience working within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment is preferred
