Job Summary

As a PLC Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in the deployment and optimization of End-of-Line systems, specifically supporting operations at the Solihull site and other international locations. Your daily responsibilities will involve programming PLC controllers using the TIA Portal (CPU 1500), implementing safety controls with TIA Safety, and creating visualizations via WinCC and WinCC Unified. You will be responsible for the commissioning of drive systems such as SEW Movidrive B+C and the integration of safety hardware like light grids and protective doors. Beyond technical execution, you will act as a bridge to the customer by training maintenance staff and operators in both German and English. This role is ideal for technical experts who enjoy hands-on troubleshooting and are comfortable working within the SICAR-PLC standard. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree or technician training in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in PLC programming and commissioning
  • Practical experience in HMI visualization using WinCC and WinCC Unified
  • Experience in implementing and testing safety control systems
  • Proven experience in creating and adjusting electrical circuit diagrams with EPLAN
  • Experience working with the SICAR standard in a project environment
