Job Summary

In this role, you will work with cutting-edge technology including inertial sensors and fiber optic gyro systems (FOG). Your primary focus is the early identification of risks associated with electronic component obsolescence and the development of effective alternative solutions. You will be responsible for initiating and overseeing measures to eliminate obsolescence while validating and verifying circuits at both the assembly and system levels according to international standards such as DO-254 and MIL-STD 461. This hands-on position involves building laboratory setups and prototypes, including soldering and crimping of circuit boards and cables. Reporting directly to the Development Management, you will play a critical role in maintaining the lifecycle of high-tech systems. This position is particularly attractive due to its blend of analytical specification work and practical laboratory tasks, set within a stable industry offering flexible working hours and a collaborative 'Du-culture' environment.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electronics Engineering, Technician certification, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in obsolescence management and obsolescence remediation.
  • Practical experience in the development, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and systems.
  • Experience in maintaining component databases and configuration management.
  • Technical documentation and process experience, ideally within the aviation industry.
  • Hands-on experience in laboratory setup, including board assembly and cable crimping.
