Postdoctoral Researcher in Evolutionary Developmental Genetics | Postdoctoral researcher (all genders welcome)
Georg-August-Universität Zentr. Universitätsverwaltung
Job Summary
This full-time postdoctoral position at the University of Göttingen is part of the DFG Research Training Group 'GönomiX', focusing on how animal diversity evolves through changes in developmental gene regulatory networks (GRNs). As a central member of a collaborative research team, you will conduct cross-species comparisons of GRNs using emerging animal model systems. Your daily work involves coordinating molecular definitions of developmental stages, performing bioinformatics analyses on transcriptomic data, and conducting functional gene analysis via RNAi. You will work closely with PhD students and bioinformatics experts to develop novel tools for cross-species comparison. This role is ideal for a highly motivated scientist who enjoys international collaboration and independent project management. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-level evolutionary research within a structured research training group, providing a supportive environment for professional development and scientific publication.
