Job Summary

As a Tax Manager specializing in Income Tax for the Convenience division, you will serve as the primary tax contact for REWE Group's subsidiaries. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve providing expert tax advice ranging from daily operations to complex project work, preparing tax returns, and calculating current and deferred taxes for financial statements under HGB and IFRS. You will also play a key role in tax reporting and represent the company during tax audits in direct communication with authorities. A major focus of the role is the proactive optimization and digitalization of tax processes. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a comparable qualification with a focus on Taxation. Completion of the Tax Advisor Exam (Steuerberaterexamen) is preferred.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in income tax within a large tax consulting firm, corporate tax department, or financial administration
  • Professional experience in preparing complex tax returns and calculating current/deferred taxes
  • Experience in tax auditing and direct communication with tax auditors
  • Experience in the optimization and digitalization of tax processes
  • Proven ability to handle complex tax matters for corporations and partnerships
