As an International Tax Manager at REWE Group in Cologne, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the international tax strategy for one of Europe's largest retail and tourism groups. This part-time position (20-26 hours) involves advising domestic and foreign group companies on complex cross-border tax issues, including withholding taxes, permanent establishments, and controlled foreign corporation (CFC) taxation. You will serve as a key point of contact for tax audits and support the development of Tax Compliance Management Systems (Tax CMS) and digital tax technology tools. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Economics or Law with a focus on taxation, a degree as a Certified Finance Administrator (Diplom-Finanzwirt), or an LL.M. in Taxation. A successfully completed Tax Advisor exam (Steuerberater) is preferred.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in tax consulting within a corporate environment or an internationally focused consulting firm
  • Proven expertise in international tax law and cross-border tax regulations
  • Experience in managing German reporting obligations and supporting foreign group companies in local tax matters
  • Professional experience in handling tax audits with an international context
  • Experience in supporting international restructurings or M&A projects
