Job Summary

This role involves the technical commissioning and testing of High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems, specifically focusing on control and protection (C&P) hardware and software. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will perform integration tests, functional performance tests (FPT), and dynamic performance tests (DPT) within test centers and on-site. You will be responsible for ensuring technically sound and economical commissioning while supporting project management in quality, risk, and claim management. This position is ideal for engineers passionate about high-voltage technology who enjoy global travel and hands-on technical challenges. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in HVDC/HGÜ systems within high-voltage technology.
  • Experience with control, regulation, measurement, protection, and communication systems.
  • Experience in electrical power supply and plant commissioning is advantageous.
  • Practical experience in project planning and testing using MATLAB/Simulink and Siemens SIMATIC environments.
  • Experience in coordinating and monitoring schedules and progress within a specific area of responsibility.
